Our Youth have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. At Vail Troop 231, we are here to give them the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We have a number of year round activities, community service projects and leadership initiatives that help nurture our youth and help them develop the skills they will carry throughout their lives.
"I grew in Scouting: 1st grade through 9th, and found a great love of the mountains, claiming my first Fourteener with our Troop backpacking trip up Pikes Peak, near Colorado Springs, and later completing a 50 mi hike through Phantom Canyon. A few of my favorite Scout trips: Hiking the Grand Canyon, summer camp on Catalina Island (off of LA) Paddling the Boundary Waters (MN/CA), sailing in the Bahamas,

The phrase “it takes a village to raise a child” conveys the message that it takes many people “the village” to provide a safe, healthy environment for children, where children are given the security they need to develop and flourish, and to be able to realize their hopes and dreams.
